The affair of the allegedly illicit files held by the teams of Éric Ciotti broke out on Tuesday, while police of the Interdepartmental Judicial Police Service (SIPJ 06) have invested offices from the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council and seized IT data.
The offices targeted: those of the employees of the UDR deputy, also employees of the department.
The investigation

The report was written by a citizen who wishes to keep anonymous and who also requires the status of whistleblower.
According to the entourage of Eric Ciotti, it would be “From a former loved one who joined the Estrosi camp”. In support of his accusations a USB key containing the famous files was provided to the Public Prosecutor of Nice.
Which opened a preliminary investigation by the chef “for registration or conservation of sensitive personal data without the consent of the interested parties”.
Details of reporting to justice and CNIL

The author of the report targets the UDR deputy namely: “These facts were committed by Éric Ciotti (…) as part of his functions”.
In the rest of his mail, he guides investigators, explaining to them where they can find the incriminated files. The names of certain parliamentary assistants from the former president of the Republicans are cited.
For him, “The very nature of these files, their content and their potential use raise serious damage to privacy”. For him, it is clearly an illegal filing.
The same letter was sent to the president of the CNIL, the National Commission for Data Protection.
Several files
This is not a file, but several files.
They are named “pillars 2023” “2024 influence relay”, “LR 2022 members, 2023, 2024”, “Intervention file, donations”, “All our SMS and emails”, or “CFP pink file”, hundreds and hundreds of names are accompanied by the contact details of the person and certain observations.
Religion or homosexuality indicated?
At no time in all the Excel tables that we peeled and which were provided to justice the homosexuality of a listed person is mentioned.
And, with regard to religious affiliation, the term “Jewish confession” appears several times, but it is only indicated when it comes to association officials in connection with Judaism, such as the President of the South-East CRIF or the President of the Israelite Consistory.
For “Christian confession”, this is only attached when the person listed is in orders, such as, for example, the parish priest Gil Florini, or Franklin Parmentier of the Notre-Dame basilica.
Justice may however believe that personal data has been unduly collected and used. It could fall, then under the law.
Article 226-19 of the Criminal Code represses the illicit collection of personal data revealing racial or ethnic origins, political opinions, religious or philosophical convictions, or the union membership of a person, as well as data relating to health or sexual life.
Other databases of the probable candidate for the town hall of Nice
“Deaf”, “Undless”, “Armenian community”, “Corsica”, “neighborhood committee”, “landowner”, “did not vote in the 2nd legislative round 2017”, “Civility Child 1”, “Complete Civility of the wife”, etc. Non -exhaustive inventory: nothing is left to chance.

Christian Estrosi denounces an “ignoble and dangerous” practice

The counterattack of Ciotti: he announces to file a complaint against Estrosi for “defamation”
