An accident involving a heavy truck and a van occurred on Friday morning, around 8 a.m., on the route 112 (Boulevard Frontenac Est), in the sector Robertsonvillenext to Thetford Mines.

The two vehicle drivers would have undergone minor injuries despite the frontal collision according to the first information transmitted by the Sûreté du Québec, the hypothesis of a moment of drowsiness at the wheel of one of the drivers is favored to explain the accident.

Despite the impact, Route 112 remained partially open to traffic. No criminal element would be in question and no in -depth investigation required the closure of the track.
