A motorcyclist in the thirties died from his injuries on Friday evening in Bas-Saint-Laurent, after colliding with a moose while traveling on Highway 20, in the Cacouna sector.

Emergency services were called upon to intervene around 10 p.m.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the moose was on the road at the time of the impact. The driver would then have tried to avoid him, but to no avail.
The two motorcyclists had to be transported to a hospital center for major injuries that could let fear for their lives.
When writing these lines, the passenger in the thirties was taken from business. The driver did not have the same chance, however and returned the soul within hours of the collision.
A police officer trained as a collision investigation also moved to the scene to determine the exact causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.
