He had arisen on social networks only five years ago, but he was followed by half a million subscribers on platforms like Tiktok or Twitch. The French streamer Jean Pormanove, known as “JP”, of his real name Raphaël Graven, who had also built a massive community of gamers on the Kick site, died on the night of Sunday to Monday in Tales, near Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), at the age of 46.
His entourage confirmed the news in the afternoon of Monday and many messages have been flocking since social networks. “I have always feared the day I should write these words. Unfortunately, that night, JP (Raphaël Graven) left us. (…) I ask you all to respect his memory and not to share the video of his last breath in his sleep, ”posted the influencer Naruto (Owen) in particular.
The rumor had been running for several hours on social networks, after the publication of a freezing video of a live in which we see an individual resembling him, lying lifeless, his head barely visible on a mattress covered with a duvet and not responding to the calls of other men visibly woken up. “It is really in a weird position,” we hear on the images before the live is suddenly cut.
Accusations of violence
Contacted by Le Parisien, the Nice prosecutor’s office confirmed this afternoon on Monday “the death of a man in a room rented for lives for video games” on Monday on Monday without specifying the identity. The two influencers had challenged any offense and denied the facts.
