The Killers will be the headliner of the first evening of the Osheaga festival this Friday. With more than 20 years of existence, the American group is a model of longevity. His secret? An original and timeless style, a most charismatic leader, but also a flagship song whose success has been lasting for two decades.

Considered one of the most popular rock training in the XXIe A century, The Killers, it was Mormons who have become star stars, seven albums, more than 28 million sales worldwide, and stable success for more than 20 years. Founded in Las Vegas in 2001, the group is formed by the leader and principal author Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci. Flowers and Keuning gave life to The Killers by taking a path from the start where rock sticks to Synth-Pop, while never limiting the sonic terrain they explore. Their first album, and perhaps their most popular to date, Hot Fusswas 20 years old last year. After all this path traveled, “they have a vintage side, but not really,” says Évelyne Côté, programming director, concerts and events at Evenko, who produces the Osheaga festival. “They were born in the period of Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, but they came from Vegas and had this post-punk and dancing side, with guitar, but keyboards too.
