The UN Special Rapporteur on the minorities, the Friborg Nicolas Levrat, and more than 30 of his independent expert colleagues require the dismantling of the controversial humanitarian foundation of Gaza (GHF). On Tuesday in Geneva, they spoke of an “urgent need for robust international surveillance”.
In a joint declaration, independent experts, who do not express themselves on behalf of the UN, denounce in GHF, supported by Israel and the United States, a “completely disturbing” exploitation of aid for military and political reasons. They target normalization of impunity and violations of international law.

“In this case, we leave a state accused of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity being responsible for feeding the population affected by the genocide,” they add. More than 1,300 people were killed and more than 4,000 injured by coming to seek food since resuming the control of humanitarian aid by the Hebrew state.
