The Ukrainian and Russian presidents continued on Sunday, for the third consecutive day, to chain telephone exchanges with their respective allies and partners, a few days before a summit between Vladimir Poutine et Donald Trump Scheduled for Friday in Alaska.

Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on the phone with 13 foreign leaders in the last three days, including its main European supporters, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
On Sunday, he also spoke with two traditional Russia partners: the presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
“It is important that the common efforts of the whole world ultimately force Russia to end (…) to its assault,” said Mr. Zelensky on Telegram after his interview with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliev.
Nine heads of state contacted
Vladimir Putin has for his part conversed with nine foreign heads of state since Friday, including his closest partners such as Chinese Xi Jinping, Indian Narendra Modi and the Brazilian Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva.
He also spoke with the presidents of several former Soviet republics, who maintain good relations with Moscow: Bélarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tadjikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The announcement of the Trump-Puttine summit, which will take place a priori without Mr. Zelensky, aroused concerns among the Allies of kyiv as to the possibility that an agreement is concluded in the back of Ukraine, forcing it to give up to Russia portions of its territory.
Since this announcement, the Ukrainian head of state has insisted that his country and his European allies are included in the process.
