Decryption – Members of the medical community accuse the Danish pharmaceutical group of promoting its drugs in a diverted way, which is illegal since they are subject to prescription.
For the past month, surprising posters have been shedding in several stations in the Paris metro and similar publications have been bringing out on social networks. An awareness campaign signed Novo Nordisk, Danish pharmaceutical laboratory which sells two of the three obesity drugs marketed in France, challenges. On these, obese people pose, all smiles, next to the registration: “I decided to act for myself and for my health”.
A link directs to the Novo Nordisk site beyonddupoids.fr, which proposes to calculate its BMI and returns to three medical appointments – MonpoidsMasanté.fr, Doctolib and Livi – in the event of obesity (when the BMI is greater than 30), “Talking about (his) weight with (his) doctor”. It is specified that the last two sites are entities “Autonomous and independent” and that the Danish group does not exercise “No influence on the provision of their services”.
