Distribution of assistance in Gaza: Paris requests the stopping of the activities of the humanitarian foundation, managed by Israel and the United States

“This war must stop, weapons must be silent and give way to a lasting ceasefire. All hostages must be immediately released and without conditions. The humanitarian disaster must end. It was in front of the ministers of more than 100 nations that Jean-Noël Barrot opened the UN conference on Monday in New York to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In Cyprus, this Thursday, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has broken the point of humanitarian aspect. While, according to NGOs and the United Nations, famine spreads in large widths in Gaza, Jean-Noël Barrot has castigated the management of food delivery points to the population.

“I ask for the cessation of the activities of the Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza (GHF). The militarized distribution of humanitarian aid led to a bloodbath in the distribution lines in Gaza. It is a scandal, it is shameful and it must stop, “urged the tenant of the Quai d’Orsay according to the reuters news agency.

According to the United Nations, more than 1,000 people have been killed by Israeli forces since May while they were looking for food, mainly in the militarized GHF distribution areas.

Four humanitarian flights scheduled for Friday

The Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza, with whom international organizations refuse to work, is co-edited by the United States and Israel. The structure employs an American logistics company led by a former member of the CIA and veterans of the American army.

The accusations of the UN, the GHF sweeps them and affirms that the most serious incidents have occurred around other aid points. For its part, the Israeli army acknowledges that civilians may have been injured by firearm near the delivery centers, but ensures that it has now transmitted its troops better instructions. However, the Hebrew state blames Hamas, accusing it of stealing food.

The words of Jean-Noël Barrot arise in a context of growing tensions between Israel and France after the promise by Emmanuel Macron of recognition of the State of Palestine. They also occur while Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s special envoy in the Middle East, begins his trip to Israel, where a meeting with Benyamin Netanyahu is planned. This trip, according to the Israeli press, could include the visit of a GHF site in Gaza, without anyone knowing for the time being what will come out.

Pending a possible overhaul of the food distribution model in Gaza, Jean-Noël Barrot indicated on BFMTV that four humanitarian flights each containing ten tonnes of food would take the direction of the enclave from Friday, in cooperation with Jordan. Imperative drops pending road access, for the time being little reduced by the Israeli authorities.
