In Sierre, justice pronounces the expulsion of one of the leaders of the trafficking network

The verdict fell. This 22 -year -old Tunisian, born in Sion, has a 4 -year -old firm prison – he has been in preventive detention since November 2023 – and an expulsion from Swiss territory for a period of 7 years. The referral was the main issue of this case, the accused having recognized part of the facts. In addition, the young man will have to reimburse the legal costs amounting to more than 23,000 francs. The cuts found at his home – 9,310 francs – and a Rolex come back to the state.
No leniency, but a call
The district court of Sierre So followed the requisitions of the Valais public prosecutor. The latter says he is “satisfied judgment” and notes that he will continue “the fight against drug trafficking with force”.
While the defense, through the voice of Jean-Luc Addorpleaded for “the leniency”, arguing that the young man “deserved a last chance”, the judges showed firmness and expel a man who “has no connection with his country of origin, if not the papers”, noted the defense.
This network is of rare magnitude in Valais. In total, according to the prosecution, at least 540 kilos of hashish have been sold in three years. This traffic is also accompanied by a degree of unprecedented violence in the Old Pays. Within the network, pressure strokes and tobacco passages were used in particular to cover debts. The accused, he disputes having uttered threats or uses violence.
Contacted, Jean-Luc Addor announces that he will appeal the decision and does not comment on the verdict. In this case, around thirty defendants will have to face justice.
