The president of MR Georges-Louis Bouchez announced on Friday, upon his arrival at the Town Hall of Brussels for the feast of the Flemish community, the holding of new discussions between the MR and the PS on the formation of a Brussels government. In his eyes, the objective is to release “a solution” by the national holiday of July 21.
More than a year after the elections of June 9, 2024, the formation of a new Brussels government remains blocked by a skein of vetos issued by various parties. But according to several sources, the discussions resumed between the two largest Brussels training courses. Georges-Louis Bouchez confirms that we work “behind the scenes” for “creative solutions”.
The Groen File Chef, training out of the regional elections of June 2024 on the Dutch -speaking side in Brussels, for the moment has given little credit to this track.

Mr. Bouchez “has the tradition of attracting attention to the Flemish party: last year, it was the day he announced the formation of the Walloon government. Today he pretended to have a solution for Brussels,” she said. “I have been ready to negotiate for months, and that is not done in front of the cameras on the big square, but around a table full of files”.
For Elke Van Den Brandt, this is a “little tour for the press” and there is no question of discussions proper.
“We are not the toy of a party president, but a region of 1.2 million inhabitants, the country’s economic engine, and the capital of Europe,” she concluded.
