This is in any case what indicates the latest update of the Ookla Global Index Speedtest, the tool used by millions of Internet users in the world to test the speed of Internet connection. Indeed, Lyon is at first place in the classification, with median descending speed of 347.52 Mb/s.

In second place, there is Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), with a speed of 344.34 Mb/s, followed by Valparaiso (Chile) and Beijing (China). The second French city of this ranking is Paris, which is located in the twenty-third place with a flow of 238.51 Mb/s.
As mentioned above, Ookla is a tool for measuring Internet connection. And the data of this index comes from tests initiated by users, but also from samples taken by the company, every day. Otherwise, the ranking of the best mobile connections is dominated by Ar-Rayyan, Qatar. And Paris, the best city in this ranking, is only in thirty-fifth place. The city of Lyon, on the other hand, is in the fortieth place.
Where is France in the classification of countries?
Still according to Ookla data, France is in third place (behind Hong-Kong and Singapore), in the classification of the best fixed outlet connections by country, with a median drop-down flow of 319.43 Mb/s. The hexagon has however lost a place on this classification, compared to the previous version of this index.
Regarding the mobile connection, France is less efficient. Indeed, the country is in the twenty-second place in this classification, with a median descending speed of 139.67 Mb/s.
