These vehicles are faced with a 1.5 Blue HDI diesel engine failure. A problem linked to the camshaft chain, an essential element of the engine which regulates the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves, has been noted. For many motorists, the original slams have turned into engine breakage. Enough to cause a reminder everywhere in Europe and therefore in France.
A reminder concerning vehicles produced between 2017 and 2023
Among the models concerned are the vehicles produced between 2017 and 2023. There are Citroën C3, C4, Opel Corsa and Mokka as well as Peugeot 208, 2008 and 308.
The Stellantis group has also specified in a press release that the customers concerned, who have already encountered problems of this type, will be able to request the reimbursement of linked expenses, “provided that the maintenance and diagnosis carried out of the vehicle comply with the guidelines recommended by the brand”.
A reminder that comes as bad for the car group, at the heart of a change of presidency between Carlos Tavares and Antonio Filosa, and questioned as to the reliability of these vehicles, following the last scandals.
