The Canon Powershot SX540 HS takes the SX530 HS Revee. This 50x objective bridge has a CMOS 1/2.3 “sensor which gains in definition (20 MPx) and a DIGIC 6 processor. Video mode takes advantage of it to evolve and authorizes Full HD 60 I/S recording. Design and ergonomics do not evolve, but Wi-Fi and NFC are always in order.

The SX540 HS is a general public bridge of extreme simplicity. To want to make too simple, Canon forget the essentials and sin by absence of a viewfinder, which constitutes a false-pas in 2017 and at this price. Opposite, Sony and Panasonic offer bridges with such powerful zooms and with much more complete ergonomics. The arrival of the new sensor and the new processor is not enough to replace the SX540 HS in the race.
