Fourteen orange alert departments with rains and floods, Wednesday and Thursday

Fourteen departments, including Paris and its suburbs, are placed in orange vigilance with rains and floods from 10 p.m. Wednesday July 23, and until Thursday, announced Météo-France.

This orange vigilance concerns the departments of Aisne, Aube, Eure-et-Loir, Loiret, Marne and Yonne, as well as Paris and Ile-de-France (Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Val-d’Oise).

“The sometimes stormy rains will become more and more frequent on the departments placed in orange rain-in-rude vigilance”writes Météo-France in his bulletin published Wednesday afternoon.

The Institute plans, during the episode, only the accumulation of rain from 40 millimeters to 60 millimeters “Will often be affected”. “Locally 80 millimeters are possible”adds the forecast center. This alert will be lifted on Thursday.

“The entire Ile-de-France region is placed in orange alert”wrote the Paris Police Prefecture, on the social network X. “Storms are expected from this [mercredi] evening and during Thursday. Be careful and be informed ”continues the prefecture.

These fourteen departments were also placed in yellow vigilance to thunderstorms, alongside 66 other departments, from Pas-de-Calais to Bouches-du-Rhône. The alert will be lifted between Wednesday and Thursday.
