Galaxy S25 FE: the 5 new samsung news that could make all the difference

Rumors continue to feed the technical sheet of future high -end Samsung smartphones. In addition to the 2026 models, notably with the Galaxy S26 Ultra Galaxy S26, it is the last ambassador of the current generation that should arrive in the coming weeks: the Galaxy S25 FE. Curious ? Here are the expected changes!

Fine and light design: would the Galaxy S25 Fe really stand out?

The first evolution made by Samsung with the Galaxy S25 FE would be in terms of design. Far from being revolutionary, it would be a change of size. We would go to a thickness of 7.4 mm, against 8 mm on the Galaxy S24 Fe – which would bring it closer to the 7.2 mm of the Galaxy S25.

Unsurprisingly, this slimming cure would lower the weight of the smartphone: it would weigh 190 g instead of 213 g. All of this would make it possible to take advantage of a better grip, while emphasizing Samsung’s desire to offer ever thinner and light smartphones. A few months after the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, we were not waiting for it!

Finally, the Galaxy S25 Fe would adopt new colors, navy and white blue, which would always be accompanied by black and light blue.

A much brighter screen for better visibility

At the display level, Samsung would opt for a familiar (undoubtedly Amoled) slab of a diagonal of 6.7 inch with a cooling rate of 120 Hz and a definition of 2340 x 1080 pixels.

The good news in history would be on the side of the brightness, now amounts to 2,600 cd/m². It would therefore become identical to that of the Galaxy S24 range and Galaxy S25 – and especially much higher than 1,900 CD/m² of the Galaxy S24 FE.

In short: the display would be much more readable in conditions of strong light, as in full sun.

A photo part significantly improved compared to the Galaxy S24 FE

For budding photographers, know that Samsung has probably not planned any revolution with the Galaxy S25 FE.

We would indeed find a rear photo module identical to the current generation: a main sensor of 50 Mpx, an ultra-wide-angle module of 12 Mpx and another with telephoto lens of 8 MPx-always as effective.

Only the front camera would evolve significantly, thanks to the integration of a 12 Mpx sensor, against 10 Mpx on the previous FE models. A better definition that would bring more details to selfies: perfect for sharing content with her loved ones and on social networks.

A subtle evolution therefore, but which should logically be supported by the algorithms and the AI retouching functions of Samsung to offer a rendering which will certainly delight the retina.

Slightly boosted performance for the Galaxy S25 FE

The performance will not be disappointing with the Galaxy S25 Fe, although the difference compared to the Galaxy S24 FE promises to be very low. Indeed, Samsung would not plan to add more RAM to this generation (always 8 GB), but would rather prefer to refine the processor significantly.

The Exynos 2400E chip would thus be replaced by the Exynos 2400 – the same as on the Galaxy S24 and S24+, and synonymous with a slight increase in performance. The opportunity to gain a little more power thanks to a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz instead of 3.1 GHz … and that’s it.

Enough to benefit from discreet improvements in terms of fluidity, especially in play, multitasking or photo/video – which will most certainly be imperceptible.

Good news on the software side: One UI 8 would be preinstalled, as on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Perfect for enjoying the latest news, while beta is still in progress on other Galaxy smartphones.

A quick load at the height of the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra

Finally, let’s talk about autonomy – between joy and disappointment. The good news is the arrival of the 45 W fast load, hitherto exclusive to the latest versions of the Galaxy S+ and S Ultra.

This would thus be an opportunity for the Galaxy S25 FE to pass the recharging power of the Galaxy S25, which was still limited to 25 W at its launch at the start of 2025.

This improvement would unfortunately be accompanied by a concession: the use of a smaller battery, going from 4,700 mAh on the Galaxy S24 Fe at 4,500 mAh. A notable decrease therefore, which should logically be linked to the thinner design of this generation.

We therefore cross our fingers so that the hardware and software optimization of Samsung is there so that the model offers at least one autonomy up to its predecessor.
