France condemned on Friday “in the strongest terms” the Israeli government plan for Gaza, stressing that the latter risks leading to “an absolute dead end”, according to a declaration from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She recalls “her firm opposition to any project to occupy the Gaza Strip and forced displacement of its population” while the Israeli army is preparing to take control of the city of Gaza, the most important in Palestinian territory, in order to “defeat” Hamas and ensure the release of hostages.
France firmly condemns the plan of the Israeli government aimed at preparing the full occupation of Gaza. Such an operation would aggravate an already catastrophic situation without allowing the release of the hostages of Hamas, its disarmament and its surrender.
