The civil defense in the Gaza Strip reported on Wednesday 30 people killed by Israeli army fire in the Palestinian territory besieged and ravaged by almost 22 months of war, and now “threatened by famine” according to the UN.

Six people were killed and dozens injured in the south of the Gaza Strip, “by Israeli occupation forces” in Al-Shakoush, “near a humanitarian aid distribution center in the northwest of the city of Rafah,” the Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal told AFP.
Four other people were killed and more than 25 injured by Israeli fire while they were waiting to receive aid near the Wadi Gaza bridge, in the center of the Gaza Strip, said Bassal.
Like almost every day, thousands of people were gathering on Wednesday, they were gathering near the distribution centers in the south and the center of the Gaza Strip to try to obtain food aid, according to the same source.
The Al-Quds hospital, managed by the Palestinian Red Crescent and located west of the city of Gaza (North), said that they had welcomed “14 people injured by the occupier’s shooting (Israel, editor’s note)” while “tried to obtain food aid near the crossroads of Martyrs, south of the city of Gaza”.
