A quarrel between children in the park turns badly: a sentenced father
The 43 -year -old man was found guilty for assault after having suddenly distant a child who bothered his baby.
The incident took place in Bertrand park in Champel in Geneva.

A peaceful July evening in a Parc de Genève turned to the settlement of judicial accounts, reports «20 minutes». The incident occurred at Park Bertrand, around a tunnel pop-up – These canvas tunnels that we install for children. Inside: a 2 year old boy and a 9 month old.
The situation degenerated when the baby’s father worried about his son, caught the 2 -year -old boy by ear to shoot him out of the tunnel. According to the latter’s parents, the man then screened him about two meters on the lawn, before shouting on them, saying that their son had hit his baby.
Shocked, the parents filed a complaint. The same evening, a medical observation was established in the HUG: it reported a slightly red right ear, but without visible wound.
Panic reflex
In the criminal prescription cited by “20 minutes”, the forties explains that he reacted under the panic by seeing his baby cry after the other child put his hand on his face. He claims to have acted by instinct and then raised the child by the armpits to place it on the lawn. He has apologized several times.
The man was still found guilty of assault. He will have to pay a fine of 500 francs, pay 1000 francs to the complainants for the costs of procedure, as well as 520 francs in legal expense.
