More confidentiality
Until then, installed in the emergency department of the hospital center, the UMJP has faced two important obstacles: a lack of confidentiality, but above all a lack of space, which has become problematic as the number of meetings increased. “It was a problem as much for the care of welcomed people as for the working conditions of the staff,” explains Sonia Groux, an unit health manager.
The new building, which previously served as a COVVI-19 vaccination center, welcomes the health center and now the UMJP team, with an area tripled with the old site, estimates the framework. Composed of a reception area, a secretariat, a pediatric area, as well as several offices and consultation rooms, this place should allow more complete and suitable care of victims and patients.
This management consists in particular, after medical analyzes, in establishing certificates of total incapacity for work (ITT), essential for justice to assess the seriousness of the violence suffered. “Our wish is to continue the care so as not to just put ITT certificates, but also to be able to ensure psychiatric follow -up when necessary,” says Sonia Groux. The multidisciplinary team has four nurses, as many doctors, three psychologists, two social workers, two health executives and two secretaries.
Work carried out at the start of the year had made it possible to adapt this space to the needs of the team, with in particular the installation of an intercom and the installation of a glass door to the secretariat. “The establishment was very responsive to our requests,” said Sonia Groux. Faced with a demand that continues to grow, it nevertheless expresses a concern for the future: “today, that’s right”.
