An accident involving “several vehicles” occurred on Wednesday July 9 on the A2 motorway, near Wassen (UR) and the Gothard tunnel, reports a communiqué of the Uri cantonal police, relayed by «20 minutes». The pileup took place around 2:30 p.m. and was ten injured.
It is first “the driver of a passenger car bearing Luxembourg license plates” which “struck at high speed the back of a German vehicle circulating in front of it”, for a reason that is not yet known.
65,000 francs in damage
The first car then “struck a passenger car from the canton of Zurich”, which was traveling on the path of surpassing, “before colliding with a third vehicle with Italian license plates and stopping,” detail the police.
Of the ten injured people caused by this accident, four people “suffered significant injuries” and six “light injuries”. “Material damage amounts to around 65,000 francs,” said the cantonal police.
