The complaint of the French Consumer Federation (FRC) against the brand We were not retained by the Zurich public prosecutor, the RTS. The FRC accused the business of greenwashingwith a pair of shoes presented as “95%recyclable”.
This complaint followed a public service survey, dating from 2024. The program “Present time” explained that consumers could, by paying around thirty francs per month, exchange their pair for a new one when it became too damaged.

The old model was then recycled by the brand. However, no pair had been revalued since the launch of the offer two years earlier, the RTS noted.
The brand we welcome this decision
The FRC had then deposited a complaint Last February. The Zurich justice has rejected the latter, believing that the brand did not make false advertising. A decision that Sophie Michaud Gigon, secretary general of the consumer federation, judges “regrettable”.
The French Consumer Federation said it would not appeal to this decision. For its part, the brand we welcomed the decision of the Zurich authorities.
