He became champion of France in the discipline, a title he had already won in 2023 and which he had not been able to defend last year because of an arm injury. The year 2023 had been particularly splendid for Christian: individual military champion in individual and second by team with the RPIMA of Bayonne. In the civilian, he draws in category C3 (the over 60s) and was successively departmental, regional and France champion in Riom, in Puy-de-Dôme (63).
A white year in 2024
Wounded in the left arm (epicondylian) After the 2023 championships, the year 2024 was for him a white year (a year without touching the bow). He thus multiplied physiotherapy sessions. Licensed to the companions of the Arc in Lescar, he resumed the indoor competition during the winter of 2024/2025, while adopting some technical modifications after his injury (power, arrows).
During the military championship, he finished second in individual and third in the team. In shooting on the national archery (TAEN), he became a New Aquitaine champion and qualified for the French championships, which took place in Saint-Avertin, in Indre-et-Loire (37), on July 25 and 26.
At the end of the first series of 36 arrows, Christian Ant, credited with 315 points, occupied third place and was five points behind the leader. As two years ago, he made a superb second series of 328 points, to erase his delay and win the title with 10 units ahead.
After this second national title, Christian Fourmi feeds a new project, that of competing in the international championship where the target is 60 meters and no longer 50.
