Hâu Giang traces the way of “smart campaigns”

Digital transformation: Hâu Giang traces the path of “smart campaigns”

The province of Hâu Giang considers digital transformation as a strategic priority in the process of building new rurality. Many programs and solutions are implemented in order to raise awareness of the use of digital technologies in all areas of socioeconomic life.

>> Boost the consumption and export of agricultural products

>> Exports of agricultural, silvicultural and aquatic products increasing

This transformation is part of the new criteria of rurality, adapted to the local realities of each municipality or district. It thus contributes to renewing management and production models, while improving the quality of life of the inhabitants.

As part of this objective, Hâu Giang launched a pilot model of “intelligent commune” in the municipalities of Hoa Tiên and Dông Thanh.

In these pilot areas, several technological initiatives have been successfully deployed: smart solar lighting, surveillance cameras, connected speakers, modern administrative counters … The province has also invested in technological equipment for local authorities, civil servants and cultural houses, allowing generalized internet access and the supply of free wifi to the population.

According to Huynh Thành Huu, head of the province’s targeted national coordination coordinating office, the digital transformation not only transforms local authorities management methods, but also modifies the way citizens access information, produce and consume, while improving productivity and standard of living. It is a passage from the “traditional campaign” to a “modern and intelligent campaign”.

Thanks to in -depth awareness work, the population of Hâu Giang is increasingly adopted digital tools. The terms “payment without species”, “intelligent agriculture” or even “electronic health book” are now part of everyday life. Residents actively use technologies in their everyday life.

High technologies at the service of agriculture

Beyond the change in mentalities and habits, digital transformation extends strongly to the agricultural sector, an essential pillar of rural development. Several innovative models have been largely adopted: drones for pesticide spraying, automatic irrigation systems for orchards, greenhouse crops, GPS positioning sectors for high quality rice production.

In addition, the province has commissioned a space for commercial transactions and traceability entitled “Agricultural products of Hâu Giang”, as well as the Agri360 application. These platforms allow farmers to hold electronic newspapers, create QR codes for product traceability, promote their goods and connect directly to companies.

Trân van Dê, owner of the youth youth dried grapefruit Trân dê (Châu Thành A district), testifies that thanks to Facebook, Tiktok and the “Agricultural Products of Hâu Giang” platform, its activity is experiencing a significant boom. The factory sells an average of 1,000 products per month, which strengthens income stability and production efficiency.

Other technological tools complete this dynamic: stations for measuring water quality, light traps for the detection of parasites, sanitary surveillance cameras, etc. Specialized software makes it possible to declare production, transmit images to diagnose crop diseases, and obtain personalized technical advice.

Hâu Giang also collaborates with the competent departments to encourage agricultural households to join the electronic commercial platforms, train in digital skills, support packaging, logistics and delivery.

These actions aim to promote the rural digital economy and to extend the outlets of local agricultural products.

A long -term digital strategy

According to Mr. Thành Huu, digital transformation constitutes a strategic orientation for agriculture of Hâu Giang, with the aim of increasing the productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the sector.

Many high -tech models are already implemented in a coordinated manner, with concrete results in the field. The province actively mobilizes the resources necessary to modernize telecommunications infrastructure, extend access to broadband Internet in rural areas, provide equipment to vulnerable populations and guarantee data security and privacy protection in the digital environment.
