Heat warning in North High-Côte

The heat wave that strikes the center of Quebec will partly reach the North Shore. Environment Canada has published heat warnings for Tadoussac and the Forestville sector.

Temperatures could reach 34 ° C in Tadoussac, 30 ° C in the Forestville sector and a humidx of 40 in both cases. The conditions should be milder on the coast.

A refreshment should arrive on Wednesday.

The heat warning is in effect until Wednesday, when the conditions refresh.

During this episode of extreme heat, Environment Canada encourages the population to take news from vulnerable people, for example the elderly or those who live alone, several times a day.

Closing blinds or curtains, drinking water in abundance, using a fan or air conditioning, standing in a fresh space are all advice given by the government agency.

It also reminds us of never leaving people, especially children, inside a parked vehicle.
