A series of tragedies that have occurred in Ibiza worries the island’s hoteliers. Since July 7, five tourists have lost their lives by falling from the balcony of their room. All devoted themselves to the “balcony”, this extremely dangerous trend of jumping in a swimming pool from a high floor or climbing balconies, most often after consuming drugs or alcohol. The 7sur7 media specifies that a sixth victim, a 47 -year -old Belgian, miraculously survived his fall.

All the fatal falls occurred in Sant Antoni, to the west of the island, and three of them in the same establishment, the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. Spokesperson for the Ibiza hotel federation and Formentera, Manuel Sendino does not really believe in a spell. “Something strange is happening. We don’t know what to do. Suddenly, things happen that have not happened for at least three years, “he explains to the” Diario de Ibiza “.

The case of DJ Godzi

The hotelier thinks that the emergence of a new generation of drugs that can cause “hallucinations and losses of knowledge” has something to do in this black series. The hotel federation therefore claims with insistence that in -depth toxicological examinations be carried out on the victims. “The five deaths could be a coincidence, but without analyzes, we cannot get an answer,” insists Manuel Sendino.

“Il Fatto Daily” evokes the case of Michele “Godzi” Nosse, 35 years old. This Italian DJ died on July 21, during an intervention by the Guardia Civil, who went to his home after receiving complaints for noise pollution. The results of the first autopsy draw up an alarming table: traces of cocaine, ketamine and a powerful synthetic drug called 2c-b or “TUI” (note: also known as pink cocaine) were found in his body. The fact that the DJ, which nevertheless knew the dynamics of Ibiza well, found itself in such a terrifying state reinforces the fear of the emergence of new substances with unpredictable effects.
