Invoxia renames and develops its connected dog necklace: Minitailz becomes Biotracker GPS

Invoxia announces the new name of its connected dog necklace that we had the opportunity to test last year: Minitailz Biotracker GPS. This change aims to better translate the ambitions of the aircraft, which is now largely exceeding the simple location monitoring. The term Biotracker, borrowed from the medical field as explained by the brand in Blog post and an email sent to its subscribers, underlines the health orientation. The French company thus intends to make its product a real veterinary prevention tool.

Already capable of measuring heart and respiratory frequencies at rest, the collar now offers measures on demand. An evolution that allows dog owners to better assess the physical condition of their animal at different times of the day, especially before a walk or after an effort.

Preventive health alerts in place, monitoring of distances and calories to come

One of the major innovations is the integration of a health alert system. In the event of abnormal physiological data, the owner is warned by email and via the mobile application. These notifications can report simple temporary variations, such as increased respiratory frequency during hot weather, but also more serious anomalies. Invoxia says that several cases of cardiorepiratory diseases, including pulmonary edema, have been detected in time thanks to these alerts.

Another feature is announced, but has not yet been implemented: monitoring the distances traveled and calories spent. This data, common in connected objects for humans, will soon be exploited to adapt the physical activity of dogs according to their age, race or state of health. No deployment date has yet been communicated.
