And it goes through Siri. The iOS voice assistant is indeed able to read a web page for you. Practical, when you are busy, or on the move, for example.
To activate the option, nothing could be simpler:
-
Open the page you want to read
-
Activate Siri (especially via the voice command “Dis Siri”)
-
Say “Read me this page”
Siri will then read the article out loud. A reader will be displayed at the top of the screen, allowing you to move forward in the article, or go back. The controls are the same as for the music player of the iPhone. This means that reading the article can be controlled with your headphones.
Note that outside of safari and web pages, There is also a way to state any text within iOS. To activate the option, go to iPhone settings, then in Accessibility> Statue content> State the selection.
Once the option is activated, you just have to select text, then choose the “state” option on the small menu that appears above the text. The option is often relegated to the end of the list, after “copy”, “writing tools” or “search. ‘ So do not hesitate to click several times on the small arrow to the right of the menu.
