British diplomacy David Lammy denounced himself to the Environment Agency after a fishery party without a license with US vice-president JD Vance in the United Kingdom, Foreign Office said on Wednesday.

(Keystone-ATS) This fishing game takes place Friday in Cheventing House, a sumptuous residence made available to British foreign ministers in Kent (southeast of London), on the first day of Mr. Vance in the country.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs wrote to the Environment Agency about an administrative forgetfulness that led to the absence of the licenses necessary to fish in a private lake as part of a diplomatic commitment to Cheventing House last week,” said a spokesperson for Foreign Office.

No fish caught

He also indicated that Mr. Lammy had obtained the necessary permits after the fishing session, during which he did not catch any fish, the minister had revealed to the press on Friday.

In England and Wales, any person aged 13 or over must have a fishing permit to fish in fresh water, in particular carp, according to the rules of the Environment Agency.

After a weekend spent in Cheventing House, Vance continues his vacation in the Cotswolds campaign, in southeast England, where residents organized a “non-Bienvenue” party to protest against her visit and the disturbances she led to residents.
