“Trapped” animals in a fire farm

A fire broke out on a farm in Coeuve, near Porrentruy, on the evening of July 10, report Jura cantonal police. The facts took place around 6:30 p.m. and required the intervention of the firefighters of SIS Vendline and Cris Porrentruy.
“Several patrols of the gendarmerie, as well as the judicial police”, were also mandated on the spot, “in order to secure the premises and to conduct the investigations of use”, specify the police. A “care team” was also present in order to “provide support to those present at the event”.
In parallel, the authorities asked the population, through alertswiss, stay at home and close the windows to avoid inhalation of smoke. The people informed by the latter were controlled by the ambulance staff.
Cattle “trapped by flames”
“Livestock was trapped by the flames,” added the cantonal police. The cantonal veterinarian and a practitioner veterinarian were dispatched to the scene to take care of the injured animals.
“An investigation is currently underway to find out the causes of this fire which are still indeterminate,” conclude the Jurassic police.
