Going to the detector before entering the examination room, this is the new anti-triche system of the Blaise-Cendrars high school, in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This is the first secondary school 2 to bring such a device in the canton of Neuchâtel. Concretely, the 157 pupils who presented themselves for their matu exams were scanned by a device after having had to extinguish and deposit their electronic objects at the entrance to the room.
“No reporting of a possible presence of this type of device has been issued,” said Christophe Stawarz, the director of the school, at the microphone of Arcinfo. Not that cases of cheating have exploded in recent years, the measure is above all preventive. “Connected devices have multiplied in our society. We must prevent use during examination sessions, especially at the time of artificial intelligence, “added the director. The investment represents some 200 francs per detector. As for the effectiveness of the measure, it will be assessed to define if it deserves to be implemented over time.
