It’s a reminder that could make you smile … or not! Lamborghini has just announced the recall of 27 copies of its latest hybrid hypercar, the Revuerto. In question? A tiny mechanical component that could transform the famous doors into elytre into real guillotines.
Elytre doors (or scissors) have been one of Lamborghini’s stylistic signatures since the Countach of the 70s. But on certain Revuerto models made between December 2023 and February 2025, a concern was detected at the level of the spherical pin that maintains the spring. This element that allows the door to stay open up. Poorly tight in the factory, this room could dislodge and bring the door falling without warning.
A test at the end of production has put its finger on this defect after a spring is dissociated. A verification in a dealer confirmed the problem: insufficient tightening of the pin. As a result, the Italian manufacturer has preferred to play prudence and launch an official reminder, although, for the moment, no incident or injury has been reported.
The piece in question lies in the palm of one hand. And yet, it is supposed to support a Supercar door almost two meters long, designed in carbon, but still particularly heavy. If it lets go while the door is open, it can fall suddenly, a potentially dangerous scenario …
This recall remains marginal in volume (only 27 cars), but it is symbolic for a model as prestigious as the Revuerto. The owners concerned will receive an official letter between September 6 and 11, but the dealers have already been warned from July 21, 2025. It is likely that certain vehicles have already been repaired.
