- A young Lausannois is sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison.
- The criminal court believes that it threatened and tried to kill a contractual.
- The defense version is deemed inconsistent, contradictory and improbable.
- At the end of the hearing, the condemned announced that he wanted to appeal.
This Tuesday, a young Lausannois took 6 and a half years in prison for having threatened and tried to assassinate with a knife a contractual in a street in his district of Prilly-Malley. The 21 -year -old convicted, however, repeated during his trial Last week that he recognized verbal threats, but not physical assault. That was not enough. The criminal court considers that the defense is not at all credible. “It is manifest that he wanted to kill,” said president Nicole Diserens.
The court did not have the easy task. The dispute had taken place at night, on the eve of Christmas 2023. In the absence of a direct witness, it is a word against speech in this file. And everything happened in a handful of seconds. The assistant of security public which amended a vehicle said that the attacker had tried to stab him at the abdomen, after insulted it. According to him, it was thanks to his skills as karateka that he had managed to disarm the author.

Having detained for 1 year and a half, the Postadolescent affirms that the thesis of acting is an invention. The official would like to protect himself. The threats would have brought him out of his hinges: he would have used violence to try to challenge him. That evening, the condemned, who had drunk too much and too smoked, says he wanted to provoke, showing off the handle of a butcher knife he was carrying to cut a birthday cake. But he never completely took out the blade from his paper bag.
For the criminal court, this fact is “incredible”, “inconsistent”, “contradictory”. In addition, the history judicialfor brigandage in particular, are aggravating. “This rise in delinquency that is worrying must stop,” said the president. Furthermore, accusing the victim of lies, “awareness is zero”. A verdict that has not destabilized the defense. After reading the judgment, she announced that she wanted to appeal.
