Lego is not on his first try in terms of life -size cars. In 2004, the Legoland amusement park in California presented a full -scale version of an SUV Volvo XC90. In 2011, Legoland park in Florida presented Three vehicles Life -size lego with a Ford Explorera ford F-150 Lightning and a Ford Mustang of 1964.

It will be necessary to wait until 2016 to see the arrival of the first technical parts allowing to design a Porsche 911 GT3 RS orange. However, these vehicles were above all intended to be exposed and could not drive. In 2018, Lego still built a replica of the Bugatti Chironcapable of reaching A top speed of 20 km/h in a straight line.

In 2025, ten Formula 1 were produced for the Grand Prix of Miami F1 and which allowed the pilots to make a lap aboard these replicas which can reach about twenty kilometers per hour.

Composed of 342 817 LEGO piecesthis McLaren p1 mobilized 82 Lego technicians pendant 17 days and a total of 8,344 hours of work. To carry out this project, Lego used 393 different types of technical parts. In total, we are with a McLaren p1 in bricks that weighs About 1,200 kilograms and who is able to reach A speed of 50 km/h. This P1 in LEGO is powered by a mixture of LEGO TECHNIC FUNCTION batteries and a car battery.
