Sunday August 3, 2025, the hospice of the Grand-Saint-Bernard (VS) welcomes the fourth radio-filmed mass of this year, in the company of the passing pilgrims. Mass will be transmitted at 10am on RTS 2 and Cath.ch. On radio, at 9:03 am on RTS-Space 2.
In 1050, Saint Bernard de Menthon or Montjoux founded the hospice on the Mont-Joux pass, which now bears its name: the Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard. The Valdôtain was proclaimed patron of mountaineers and mountain inhabitants in 1923 by Pope Pius XI.
To mark the centenary of this proclamation, the Congregation of Grand-Saint-Bernard had organized several events between Valais and the Aosta Valley, until the end of 2024.
With passage pilgrims
In 2025, alpine pilgrimages continued, and it is in the company of the participants of the third ascent that the RTS proposes to live a broadcast mass at 9:03 am on RTS-Space 2, which will also be televised in deferred at 10 am on RTS 2 and also Visible on cath.ch.
A homily of Father Luc Ruedin
In Grand-Saint-Bernard, the Eucharist will be chaired by the Father Luc RuedinJesuit, who will also offer preaching, focused on hope. At his side, the Clavendière Anne-Marie Maillard.
