Grouped 2 is not an RPG, but different increases in progression are available to help you defy the dangers of the park. In addition to equipment, buggy and Milk Molars, there are the famous changes, with their own system.
How to unlock mutations in Grounded 2?
Getting a mutation can be very simple, when you know exactly what to do, and you should even get several by playing normally. The majority of them are linked to a specific style of play. For example, if you make shield parades and give spear strokes, you will sooner or later get the mutations linked to these two types of objects. We can see it as a skill system. Each mutation has several levels of progression, with bonuses whose power will grow.
Some mutations are unlocked by performing very specific actions, such as killing certain bosses or collecting objects.
To equip these mutations, open their dedicated menu, it is represented by a DNA strand icon in the menu at the top right. This will allow you to consult the list of these changes, their bonuses and how to develop them.
Note important : The official Roadmap of Grounded 2 mentions the arrival of a 2.0 mutations system in the future. This suggests that this whole system will be revised and modified. We can expect it to be expanded and enriched in different ways. It is also possible that your progress in this area is reset at that time.
The arrival of a changing system for buggy is also planned. It is unclear if it will be similar to that of the players or if it will ask to play crazy scientists with the DNA of different insects.
How to activate more mutations?
At the start, you can only equip 2 changes at the same timebut by collecting Milk Molars And by investing your points in the dedicated section, you can use up to 4 at a time.
You can save up to 4 different changes in mutations, to adapt them to your game style of the moment. Just go from one to the other in the mutations menu.

These 7 categories correspond to each type of weapon. Just kill enemies with them to unlock them. Going to massacre mites is a good way to develop them quickly. Please note that army sets also offer bonuses related to different weapons.
- Cogne-fu : Improves damage with your fists and with Pugilat weapons
- Scratch : Increase the damage and the chances of stunning with the Massues.
- Lancer : Increase the damage of spearheads and refer part of the damage to enemies.
- Assassin : Increase the damage and guaranteed critical blows to improved damage with daggers and hawks.
- Lynx eye : Increase the damage and the chances of the critical blow of the attacks on the arc.
- Master of arms : Swords reduce the damage of affected enemies.
- Tailor sorcerer : Increase the damage and effects of candy baguette spells.
Combat capacities
These bonuses are more varied, both in their unlocking conditions and in their bonuses.
- Control of the parade – Perform perfect blockages: allows you to recover endurance by performing a perfect parade.
- Ambush – Attack enemies that have not spotted you (Easy to the arc): automatically inflicts a critical blow to the enemies that have not spotted you and increases the damage with the Dagns.
- Frenzy – Overcoming the mysterious stranger (main story): increases the damage in melee and allows you to regenerate life after a blow, but that deactivates the perfect parade.
- Watchdog – Perform Mix.R defense events: increases the damage you inflict during defense events.
Exploration
- Direction of orientation – Discover points of interest: increases the speed of movement outside the fighting.
- Tracker peep.r – Get golden cards on insect bodies (1 % chance): increases the damage of critical blows.
Survival
- Cardio addict – Empty his endurance gauge completely: accelerates the recovery of endurance and reduces the period of exhaustion.
- Trusted comrade – Raise allies (works on buggy): accelerates the rescue of human allies as insects on the ground.
- Defense – Eat pieces of menthol: Reduces the effects and damage of sizzle, burn and gas.
