The objective of this guide, created in 1998, is to offer a tourist offer off the beaten track, “Mainly outside the busiest areas which concentrate almost 80 % of visitors”says Hervé Mariton. The most beautiful small cities in France, from 2,000 to 20,000 inhabitants, are the targets of the guide – published at 180,000 copies and whose content will evolve in 2026.
