A physical and technical final, the day after a French victory. After taking the start of Bourg-en-Bresse, Friday, August 1, the runners of the Tour de France women will travel 100 first kilometers on relatively flat roads during the 7th stage. But everything will accelerate in the last 60 kilometers, with three climbs, including the Granier pass (8.9 km at 5.4%) which will intervene just before the long final descent and then cut the line in Chambéry.
The punch and climbers of the peloton will therefore be the favorites of this stage. The duo Marianne Vos-Pauline Ferrand-Prévôt, from the Visma-Lease A Bike training, will try to occupy the first places to surprise the favorites that are half a vollering (FDJ-Suez) and Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon-Sram). But the yellow jersey Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) can legitimately hope to keep its leader’s tunic.
