Mandy’s is a Montreal chain of restaurants like bar with gourmet salads, grain bowls, smoothies and desserts.
“In all humility, nothing compares to a Mandy’s salad,” believes Vanessa Fracheboud, president of Mandy’s.
“We really have different dressings, not to mention the enchanting decor, the environment, aesthetics. It is not only to consume, but to live unique experiences and that is what has value in 2025. People are looking for experiences. ”
Founded in 2004 by the sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe, Mandy’s was born in the back shop of a women’s clothing store in Montreal.
“It was like a speakeasy Lettuce ”, jokes Ms. Fracheboud. “There was not really marketing, it was really word of mouth.”

Today, Mandy’s now extends over more than twenty branches, nine in the Montreal region and three in Toronto. In addition to the new Ottavian branch, the chain plans to open two other branches in Toronto by fall 2025 and has the eye on Vancouver for a few restaurants as well.
In Ottawa, Mandy’s will have gable at 581, rue Bank.
“The model worked in Toronto, so for me, Ottawa was natural. There is a French and English -speaking diversity, people know our brand. ”
Demand on social networks has also weighed in the scale, she says.
“People asked us when a restaurant in Ottawa, in Toronto, we also have a lot of requests for Calgary too. We are listening to what people will tell us, but from a demographic point of view too, it is a region that we found interesting. We have university life, parliament, civil servants. There is something for everyone, all the palaces. ”
The Mandy’s brand is also present thanks to derivative products, such as grocery and vinaigrette products and two recipe books, among others. We find the product brand everywhere in Canada, but also in the United States.
Mandy’s Ottawa will open on August 15. “We finished the construction. We are training employees and the wall outside will be made the day before the opening. We expect to be very busy in the coming days, ”concludes Ms. Facheboud.
