In summer, more than the rest of the year, blood donation establishments are struggling to attract donors.
Even if you are on vacation, know that it is possible to give blood all summer every summer, including in vacation places.
In total, the French blood establishment offers 12,000 slots meet every day.
To be able to give his blood, some conditions must be respected:
- Weigh Over 50 kilos
It is possible to give blood to:
- 4 times a year For women.
- 6 times a year For men.
Before going to a donation center, some contraindications are to be taken into account to guarantee your safety and that of patients.
- You have had an infection or fever (more than 38 °) in the past two weeks.
- Your tattoo, earrings or piercing was done less than 4 months ago.
- You have had sex with different partners in the last 4 months.
- You have received a dental care or operation (the deadline varies from 24 hours after the treatment of a caries or a 7 -day descaling for dental extraction or root treatment).
- You have traveled during the year. Depending on the country/regions visited, you may not be able to give your blood right away.
