On Friday evening, traffic on the A1 towards Zurich stalled due to a breakdown near Neuenhof. As a result, there were several rear -end collisions on the second overtaking strip that did not suffer any injuries.
One of the collided vehicles caught fire for still unclear reasons; The fire then jumped to three vehicles nearby. The highway had to be completely blocked in both directions due to the smoke development.
