A tragic outcome which leaves perplexed. A 91 -year -old woman was found dead on Thursday, July 31, in a premises of her senior residence, the Jardins d’Arcadie, in Colmar, learned France 3 Grand Est, from the Alsatian prosecution, when she had been missing for several days.
The nonagenarian had been seen for the last time five days earlier in this same residence. His disappearance had then caused the concern of the staff and the circle close to the missing.
An open investigation
To find her, the police, the firefighters, the family and a cynophile team, had quickly mobilized in parallel with the broadcast of a call for witnesses. According to here Alsace, the dogs had fought the smell of the disappeared to the station which is one kilometer from the residence.
During this research, the residence had been fully excavated, without anyone discovered. The body of the nonagenarian was not found until several days later.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes of death and an autopsy of the body is planned. The establishment’s auditions are underway.
