A 33 -year -old American tourist died Sunday in the Morcles tooth region after a serious Base Jump accident.

A 33 -year -old American tourist died Sunday in the Morcles tooth region, after a serious Base Jump accident, reports the Vaud cantonal police this Tuesday. The facts took place around 1 p.m., details the communiqué.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the group of four base fans, “equipped with Wingsuit”, went “to the top of the small tooth of Morcles to practice this sport”. But “during the jump, one of the participants was destabilized by a burst of wind,” explain the police. He would then have hit the mountain, “a hundred meters below”.
The emergency services could only note the death “of the thirties once there. The public prosecutor of the Confederation opened an investigation and “the investigations were entrusted to the specialized judicial stakeholders in the mountain peloton of the Vaudois gendarmerie”.
