The prices of letters in mail A and mail B as well as those of the Priority packages will not increase next year. Most of the price increases requested by the Post will not be implemented in 2026, announced Thursday.
(Keystone-ATS) La Poste had submitted to the prices supervisor in prices of the order of 70.9 million francs for 2026, referring to the challenges posed by the financing of the universal service, recall the services of Stefan Meierhans. After “intense negotiations”, the two parties have reached an amicable agreement so that most of the expected increases are not applied, they add.
Price increases will only be possible for 20.8 million francs out of the 70.9 million targeted. In particular, they will concern Economy parcels, shipments in number of Bil B and unpaid shipments. However, these increases must “be compensated so that their effect remains neutral on the result”, specifies Mr. Prix.
