Tara Kusic attended, helplessly, in the murder of Jimmy Metal, his spouse at the time. This did not prevent him from helping the murderer clean the crime scene and transporting the victim’s body, who died in excruciating suffering, beaten to death by her executioners.
Tara Kusic had her voice trembling and tears in eyes in the courtroom on Friday morning in Montreal.
She pleaded guilty before judge Lyne Décarie to a chief of accusation of complicity after the facts in the murder file of Jimmy Metal.
The young man died in September 2021 in disturbing circumstances: beaten and left in the garage of a residence, wrapped in a shower curtain. The home located in Lachine was that of Véronique Manceaux, a longtime friend of Tara Kusic.
Tara Kusic and Jimmy Methot, her boyfriend at the time, went there the day of the murder. A teenager whose identity is protected by an order, as well as another man were also on the spot.
A conflict bursts between Véronique Manceaux and Jimmy Méthot, according to the joint presentation of the facts filed in the Court. The teenager present intervenes and strikes him with a glass cup. He then begins to be shot.

“I don’t want to die like that,” says Jimmy Methot. He tries in vain to flee while the teenager attacks him.
He dies when he was swallowed with chemicals.
She helps the murderer
The shock did not prevent Tara Kusic from helping Véronique Manceaux from transporting the victim’s body to the garage and cleaning the crime scene.

Witness to the trial
Tara Kusic, today in their thirties, was both an accomplice and a key witness of the crown at the trial of Véronique Manceaux, her friend at the time of the crime. The latter was accused and declared guilty of the premeditated murder of Jimmy Metal.
Very emotional, Tara Kusic had delivered a striking testimony, but chaotic on the events of the fateful night. “Everything is blurred,” she admitted. It could not be identified at the time due to a court order, which is now lifted.
