How the municipalities celebrate August 1 in Geneva

Like every year, the “Tribune de Genève” has identified for you the multiple activities which will be organized on Friday 1is August in all Geneva municipalities. Lamp procession, folk animations, concerts, fireworks, we tell you everything. Follow the leader!
Several municipalities celebrate August 1 in a jointly. This is particularly the case with the municipalities of Bellevue et Genthodwhich will welcome their inhabitants together at 5:45 p.m. at the communal center of Genthod. Aperitif and ambulatory animation are planned until the official ceremony with speeches by the mayor, and the president of the municipal council. The municipalities of Oak-Bourg, Oak et Village will celebrate the national holiday together in the town of Chêne-Bougeries. The Trois-Chênes municipalities will meet this Friday, August 1 to their inhabitants from 6 p.m. at the Sismondi and Stagni parks. Geneva celebrates at La Grange Park
In Genevathe 2025 national holiday will take place at the Grange Park, mixing Swiss traditions, popular shows and committed stands. Organized by the mayor Alfonso Gomez under the theme of protection, the programming aims to promote cohesion, peace and helps the most vulnerable, with its guest of honor, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
