A 41 -year -old educator, who worked in a daycare in Montreal, was arrested for possession, production and distribution of juvenile pornography.

This establishment dedicated to children under the age of 5, in Pointe-aux-Trembles, has just suspended its employee Jean-Philippe de Caen. This Montrealer was arrested on July 9 by the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM). He is accused of at least four criminal leaders linked to child pornographic content.
The quarantine also faces a fifth accusation, since he tried to obtain a sexual “arrangement” with a minor.
“The SPVM investigators responsible for the file also confirmed to us that no child attending the CPE is concerned with regard to this situation,” says Fillion in her letter sent on Monday, and of which The newspaper obtained a copy.

De Caen was also released by a court on July 10 thanks to a deposit of $ 1,000.
“We will not comment during the investigation process,” said the CPE director, while recalling that the employee has not been found guilty at the moment.
The CPE made a publication to thank its educators in October 2023, including the accused man.

The daycare also mentions that it has been alerted to the accusations only when the educator was arrested this month. Note that offenses, linked to juvenile pornography files, were committed between February and April 2025.
Angry parents
The newspaper met parents on Tuesday afternoon in front of the Mother Duereuse building, located on rue de Montigny.
