The virtual opus card will first be accessible only for Android users. IPhone users will have to wait until 2026.

Android users can already use the test version of the virtual opus card, which will be officially launched next fall.
For iPhone users, it’s another pair of sleeves.
The artm did not advance on a date for the beginnings of the test phase. Ideally, the body would like to deploy the virtual opus card on iPhone during the year 2026.
The artm wishes to take its time to avoid mistakes, says its spokesperson, Isabella Brisson-Urdaneta.
“Our project is advancing cautiously: we add features one at a time, to ensure that each novelty meets the needs of users,” she says.
No waiting for Android
At the end of the test phase for Android, the final version of the virtual opus card will be launched.
“We are not going to close the application time to do the tests with iPhone developers,” said Mme Brisson-Urdaneta.
This means that holders of an Android mobile phone will be able to use the virtual opus card several months before iPhone users.
Thanks to this virtual card, public transport users will be able to validate their transport titles directly from their mobile phone.
For payments using a debit or credit card, the launch is still scheduled for 2026, the ARTM specifies.
