Olympic and Elfic are looking for a new room. Because the two Friborg Basketball clubs will not be able to use Saint-Léonard during the Playoffs next May. The room will be transformed into a media center for hockey worlds (from May 15 to 31, 2026) which will be competed next door, at the BCF Arena. Revealed by Radio Friborg, the information was confirmed this Tuesday by Marc-André Berset, director of the world hockey championship in Friborg.
Return to Sainte-Croix would be a nice wink
Discussions are currently underway to find a replacement place. The most likely option is a return to the Sainte-Croix room. As Pascal Joye, president of Friborg Olympic confirms:
For Friborg Olympic, it would be great reunions, because the most titled club in the country has evolved in the Sainte-Croix room until 2010.
The idea is to put the prosecution of Swiss Basketball in the Sainte-Croix room
Logistics for this move near Boulevard de Pérolles will be quite important:
For Olympic, training will resume on August 11: during this period, the Saint-Léonard room will be used … for international folklore meetings. Several moves are therefore in sight next season for the Friborg club.
