Opinions concerning air quality and heat remain in force in the country

Special weather opinions on air quality caused by the smoke of forest fires remain in force in many regions of the country, and in certain places, the heat is also there.

Much of the center of Canada, Manitoba and Saskatchewan was placed under alert or special warning concerning air quality on Monday due to smoke from forest fires that rage in meadows and northern Ontario.

Air quality warnings for certain regions, including Toronto, were lowered to the special meteorological bulletins later in the day on Monday, the conditions having somewhat improved.

However, a heat warning was published for the Queen city, providing maximum temperatures between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius until Thursday.

South of Quebec is also the subject of a special environmental meteorological bulletin Canada concerning poor air quality. A heat warning is added for the Outaouais, Greater Montreal, Lanaudière, Montérégie, Estrie, the Region of Quebec and Mauricie.

Tuesday morning, Montreal and Toronto were one of the 10 cities in the world where air was the most polluted, according to the classification established by Iqar.

In the Atlantic provinces, heat warnings are in force in certain parts of Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Environnement Canada recommends residents of regions targeted by warnings or smoke opinions to limit their time spent outside and remain attentive to smoke exposure symptoms.

The federal agency adds that in the event of a heat wave accompanied by poor air quality, you must make sure to find ways to stay in the fridge.
